There was some talk during the Super Bowl half-time show about Bruce Springsteen’s age. He was born in 1949. Someone said he was 70, though, so I flipped over to Wikipedia to check on that and found the above, brief description. The edit had been made by someone going by the name RayStreakers. It was changed within seconds after I opened the page. I’m posting it here so people can see what I was talking about on Twitter.
Incidentally, I really liked this quote referring to Lincoln (of whom a youthful portrait just came to light):
Springsteen will star in the halftime show at Super Bowl XLIII on February 1, 2009. A few days before the game, Springsteen gave a rare press conference, where he promised a “twelve minute party.” When asked if he would be nervous performing before such a large audience, Springsteen alluded to the the “We Are One” concert, which took place at the Lincoln Memorial: “You’ll have a lot of crazy football fans, but you won’t have Lincoln staring over your shoulder. That takes some of the pressure off.”
